NT install of UK version: any news?

I still can't install the game (UK version) on my NT computer even if NT is on the software requirements on the game box.

When I try it gives this 'String NOT_INSTALLED was not found in stringtable' error message and exits installation.

I've seen a patch announced ( see http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4084) but somehow it hasn't yet been released.

It nearly two weeks since I have bought the game and I can't play it. It's really frustrating.

Please give me some good news.

Here it is again

Hey, I posted my temporary solution on another thread on the same topic, but here it is again. I had the same problem, but when the installation reached the error message, I simply ended the task through the task manager (alt-ctrl-del, then task manager, then applications). You may have to quit a couple of tasks. Anyway, the game was completely installed before the error popped up, so everything is sitting there in the install directory. The game has worked perfectly for me.
