Number f Domes per map?

Hi folks, yesterday my new colony reached the number of 1100 colonists in 10 domes. The game doesn´t let me build more. I´ve read in other console forums that they hat a max of 20 domes and 3700 colonists.
Is the number restricted to something?

How is it possible to have 200 vegans for the Trophy on PS4 with this limitation?

I would also like to know this as well. Playing on PS4 pro. I'm about halfway through research and at a bit over 600 colonists only but 11 domes and it says I have reached my limit.

What is going on here?

I play on Xbox one x and reached in multiple runs the limit of 20 domes and 4000 colonists. Really not sure what factors are important. I am wondering what is the limit on pc.

On Xbox One X I hit the limit with 1300 colonist and 19 domes (14 basic & 5 medium). I tried researching Mega dome and got population up to 1500 but still not able to build any additional domes. All dome sizes are marked out and have message that says: Maximum number of Domes has been reached.

I don't know if it was just a loophole, but I hit a limit, then deleted 2 small domes (set filters to "no one can live here" and you can delete a dome once they all move out).

This let me build again and I placed several (4 or 5?) megadomes at once - queuing them up. It let me place them even though it was over the previous limit of domes.

I have not counted the domes on that map, but colonists were over the 3700 in the original post.

This is on an XBox One S.
