hello,
during the last games i had some strange crashes while playing eu. they weren't quite serious but the last one, while i was playing russia. at one point (during a war around 1767) it crashed randomly but always. but then i started a new game, and because i want to make an aar report i customized the messages, so that i get more info. because of this i noticed maybe a source for some crashes of mine. this is only a thesis, but i am quite sure about it: i think most of my crashes, which happened during wars, happened when a nation captured sea charts in a battle and got knowledge of many new territories. i customized the messages in that way, the game stops now in that event. and i noticed several times, when it happened, and lots of new territories are new to the country the game behaves the same way at the crashes (you can hear the hd work hard for some sec and then back to desktop), but it doesn't crash anymore. i am no programmer so i might be complete wrong, but i had no crash in my actual game until now (1594).
Regards,
John Buford
