of Viaborg's dynasty - Count of Jylland [never finished]
Update: Unfortunately after buying Deus Vult I continued this game and tried to conquer some pagan county (my king was accepting their 4 gold peace offer every two months) until I reached -1000 gold and -1000 prestige (I was curious about if I can get it or not via some random event or whatever). Anyways, since the game seems to be crashing all the time and I had all kind of issues, I figured it's best to try from fresh start, maybe that should fix stability issues. And no, I won't be making new AAR about it since I'm trying again with county of jylland.
I'm completely new to AAR's and almost as new to the Crusader Kings so this should be pretty interesting.
I'm using v1.05 and PLOCK when needed, just so you know. Until Deus Vult comes of course.
I might get tired of this very quickly, but only time will tell.
Anyways, here goes...
Prelude – Count of Jylland:
December 26, 1066 - The man with no parents and County of Jylland.
Poor Ulf, he has no parents. Nevertheless, he has managed to make one son in his 58 years.
He's also devotedly loyal to his liege, Svend Estridson Knýtling, King of Denmark.
His wife, Bodil, is courtier in Kingdom of Norway. That's most likely the reason why they have only one son. Other reason might be that while energetic martial clerics are good warriors, they are poor wives.
Ulf's only son is also a very trusting person, but at least he has some martial skills and makes a good marshall. Too bad that his other skills aren't that great for only successor.
Thrugut's wife is old enough to be his mother. That could be major problem in future as they only have one daughter. Luckily she makes decent spy master.
Last person in Ulf's court is her grand daughter Bodil, named after her grand mother no doubt.
While Jylland is in very interesting position, I have to wait a bit until I can get into action. Maybe something interesting will happen in near future, before dynasty of Viaborg's run out of heirs.
Current laws of Semisalic Primogeniture and Ecclesical Balance fit my purposes, while Traditional Custom has to go in favor of Feudal Contract.
Jylland's current advances are very limited, but reasearching into leather armours, Mining and some basic schooling we should be set for now.
With the current process of -0.1 prestige per month future looks bad for conquering other christians. Atleast the church of Jylland provides county with +0.5 piety monthly. With Ulf's poor steward ship, he will gain only 0.5 gold per month.
Chapter I: Ulf of Viaborg's Rise and Fall
December 27, 1066 - First courtier rises from the masses.
She will make decent chancellor for now. Being lustful with that kind of nose must be hard.
February 23, 1067 – First event.
I felt like a children at christmas, maybe this Erik is decent steward. Atleast he's there to fill places in my court.
Other than his vikingish name, he wasn't worth the gold. Oh well, I'll put my marshal as my steward and put Erik in charge of army.
