This is damn good news! The newer game engine with its flexibility should fit CK2 well.

I don't think I have never been so excited about a game. Please don't screw this one up Paradox, and make sure the game works before releasing it.
It was announced on 16th August 2009 and released 13th of August 2010.

Seriously though this is fantastic news. Crusader Kings was always one of my favorite Paradox games and I am really glad to see them making a sequel. I will be anxiously watching CK2's development.
If the release of Victoria II is any indication, this will be a good one.
