ok its a small thing.....but it REALLY niggles me!!

I've finally managed to get HSR working now with no errors at all, except for loss of sound each time I start the game, I have to alt-tab out to put the volume up again in the task bar for some reason :S

but anyway, I've looked through the unit icons for Soviet 36 infantry, and it SHOULD be a little man in a brown trench coat with the Soviet flag beside it, but with mine its not. Its using some other icons instead which it shoudn't be using.

What could I do to fix this? If I delete the ones the game is using just now, will it automatically start using the icons which it should be using?

In fact, its doing exactly the same for other nations icons too. Instead of using the fancy ones in the HSR pack, its using these "new weird" default ones in the HSR pack intead.

For example, instead of using the new fancy soviet icon labelled "SOV_Model_0_1.bmp" it instead chooses to use the "Model_0_1.bmp" icon instead.

doesn't make much sense to me. I tried deleting them, see if that made a diff, but instead of switching to the icons they should be using, it switched back to the old vanilla DD icons

Jeez, HSR doesn't half make it tricky to make money even when your producing excess consumer goods :S

I'm trying to research techs and I can't do anything diplomatically because all my funds are going into research, thats rather unfair isn't it? :S

Anyone got any idea as to why my icons are not being displayed as they should be also?

I´m not playing DD, but in "normal" HSR you have to exchange the
models in the HSR folder with the models you want to use. ( in the HSR folder, not the "vanilla" folder )
The same procedure with flags or other icons.

Well, I thought of trying to rename the models so the game uses the ones I want it to, but then I think that would mean every other country would use them too. :wacko:

OK you win, both have the same results. If you name the original sets with
xy2 then you can use the new ones. But it takes longer.
