I have just looked at it few minutes but i want to say thanx for that scenario that will allow me to play without any historical considerations! :)

What I really love about the scenario is that it revolves around a significant number of large-medium powers in Europe, rather than a group of superpowers and the rest of the countries being little more than also-rans...

Part of the plan as I see it, every country has the potential to be a superpower, but there will be many other countries with similar opportunities, especially in multiplayer. There won't be any guarantees that country X is going to dominate in a particular area...

Especially colony-wise. Art check in with me on the colony issues.

Downloaded it today, and I'm up to 1533 playing Eire.

Two event issues so far - in the Prince of Wales event, the text seemed to indicate Scotland having made a choice prior to me. Then Scotland got a Wales-related event 15 days later. I couldn't find a prior one - I'll check the history and events file, but this might be a bug.

Also, there was an event somewhere in the 1520-33 window that has the button texts displayed as "unknown string wanted". It's the one that adds manpower.

Also, one more thing - the Atlantic strategy event. Since the events don't really specify a southern strategy, it seems odd to me to grant a core on St. Helena without granting ones on other likely 'way station' islands in the Atlantic, specifically Bermuda (which I had already colonized at that point).

I really liked - and it makes sense, given the story in the event texts - the fact that Eire gets at least some of the Portuguese explorers, though after 1470 or so these seem to have dried up... not a big loss, as I'm now getting Irish ones.

Also, curiously, why is it that a lot of the commerce and industry events seem to focus on Ulster, even though the capital is not there?

Thx for the feedback.

Yep forgot an action text for the reformation of the army events.

About the isles, I can´t give them cbs on all islands:D

Yeah, Portugal is only a distant memory in the 16th prolly.

Ulster, well why not.:)

No prob. It's all cool.

Oh, I checked on the Prince of Wales event - the problem is that Scotland's event is apparently designed to happen first, but the triggers are not set in such a way that the Eire event can't fire first. It's left to random chance.

As far as the islands, I understand not giving cores on all the islands in the world; since the event specifically mentions the Atlantic, I can see giving most of the non-Caribbean Atlantic islands, though - which to me means definitely Bermuda, maybe Newfoundland, and possibly the Falklands and Cape Verde should be added. Iceland and Greenland on that list too, except they're already in the Scandinavian sphere of influence (which is also why the maybe on Newfoundland).

Yeah, but I don´t want to be too deterministic..

Well, at the very least, we should fix the two actual errors - the missing event texts in the Reformation of the Army events, and the triggers on the Prince of Wales events (the Scotland one should always fire first, if my reading of the event texts and effects is correct; then the Eire one only if Scotland chooses to press the claims.)

Will check that.

Hum.. this information is probably in some other thread, but as I never tried a mod scenario, except PE 1520 MP (wich is only a savegame), but found the idea of this scenario very interesting and diferent, my question is where I unzip (or better unrar) this scenario?

An that would make me unable to play normal MP as it mix with the others files and events?

You unzip "Abe" simply into the Eu2 folder, then you go to your execute command and type:

"C:\Europa Universalis 2\EU2.exe" abe

That´s the moddir command.
