There use to be an event sequence where, if a rebellious vassal was...well, rebellious, he got a claim on the primary title of the king. I loved this. It lead to dynasties being over thrown. Now a days the king just:

1) wins the war and takes the duchy, important counties, and continues to do this throughout the centuries cementing his family line NO matter what.

2) The country breaks up, with neither power capable of beating the other, until many decades later, the old vassal comes back willingly.

Anyways, I was wondering two things:

1) Does anyone know this event sequence, and how to put it into my game, which is the 2.1 beta for DV?

2) Would it even be compatible for dv, or would I have to make changes in the code?

Thanks for any help. :)

1. Go to Crusader kings/db/events/realm_disruption_events.txt

2. Then search for all these entries

Code:
#effect = { type = add_title_claim value = liege }

3. Remove the # before effect, so that it reads as follows

Code:
effect = { type = add_title_claim value = liege }

Oh, they kept the event in but just deactivated it. I had no idea! Why did they deactivate it by the way? I went in active for a few months and when I came back, dv was out and the event was gone. Was it annoying the general community? :eek:

Edit: Thank you! :)

I can only guess why they edited it out

This event gave all rebellious vassal a claim on a kingtitle, which was very exploitable for human players. Since even as a small count or duke you got a claim on a kingtitle for free. And if you were the king yourself you gain a lot of prestige from defeating those rebels and let them keep their claims. This gave you 1000s of prestige

To my annoyance it hasn't been giving all vassals rebelliousness, but only some. Quite strange.

I also had no idea about those exploits, though I don't know if its really up to the developers of the games to hold back exploits, if the players are having fun doing it after all. :p
