On screen messages

N!IGHTY i have a bug for you, maybe this has been fixed but im not sure, every time i close hoi 1.05 Stoney road and then reopen it all of my message prefrences are reset.... by that i mean something like "troops boarded onto their tranports"... if i had that set to not show up at all when i restart the game it will show up and it does this with every message.

This is known and maybe a moddir bug.
Is the config.eu located in your moddir ?
If so try removing it and test then!

it isnt in that directory (c:/program files/strategy first/hearts of iron/stonyroad 0701) so any other ideas?

PS~ it does work with vanilla hoi 1.05b

The config.eu file is normally in the main HOI directory.

In order for your message settings to be saved you will need to copy that file into the SR0701 sub directory (just straight in, not into any sub-sub directories).

Since then all my preferences are saved.

my fault. I copied "settings.cfg" there, so no use. You need config.eu
