My friend and I bought Magicka (through Steam) to play online with each other. After installing the game, we realized that we needed to forward ports in order to host a game. However, due to both of our network setups, neither of us have the option to do that.
We would really like to play the adventure together. What are our options when port forwarding is not possible?

Have you tried simply inviting via steam?
Host a game as usual and when you're sitting in the lobby waiting hit shift-tab to bring up the steam overlay and find your friend and invite him to the game.
That _should_ work iirc.

Right click your friend's name in Steam. They don't even need to have the game running to be invited. Alternatively, they can right click your name in Steam and hit "join game" (again, no need to have the game running, Steam will launch the game for them as soon as they choose to join you). Keep in mind you do need to be in the lobby for them for the "join game" to actually work.
