Just a quick and small contribute to your interesting mod.
The effective composition of the Italian army in those years was:
(Remember: Italian army is organized in brigades, which have the same strenght of a French division)
*5 mountain brigades (named Julia, Cadore, Orobica, Tridentina, Taurinense
*5 armoured Brigades (Vittorio Veneto, Pozzuolo del Friuli, Mameli, Manin, Curtatone, 3 with Leopard 1A5, 2 with american's M-47/48 and M-60)
*7 mechanized (Goito, Garibaldi, Gorizia, Trieste, Isonzo, Brescia, Legnano)
*6 "autonomous" brigades (Granatieri (mech), Pinerolo (Mech),Aosta, Friuli, Aqui, Cremona(all motorized))
*1 paratroopers (Folgore)
+ 8 btg of "stop Infantry", infantry positioned on the east border
+ 1 main HQ with an motorized infantry btg and artillery + 7HQs
+ 1 rgt Marines (Serenissima) + 1 Btg Marines (S.Marco, depends from Navy)

Here I can give you only numbers of aeroplanes....
50 G-222 (80's tactical Transport)
about 125 G-91R (60's CAS)
about 60 G-91Y (70's CAS)
F-104S in at least 6 wings, 4 interceptor and 2 multirole, I think it could be more but I'm not sure
(F-104S is a variant of the F-104G, builded only in Italy, very improved with more load capacity, new avionics, new eletronic suite, AIM-7Sparrow and sidewinder missiles and a new engine).
I hope this could be useful for you!
