Ctd 1.05b4

Hi guys, getting CTD without any specific action within first few months, playing Germany 36, 1GB RAM, 1.7GHz Dothan, Windows XP, Mobility radeon 9000.
 
Those random CTDs seem to happen when an event, either random or triggered, is due. Esp. around the SCW the game isn´t very stable. I´m running 1.05 beta 4 with no mods, P4 (2.8 Mhz), 2 GB, Windows XP.
 
Just tested today for a few hours with 1b hotfix, I got 0 line 61 errors, but the game was so slow and the "click ignore" happend every 3 min. so in game months it was not a long game :)
 
Just for you all's information :

Playing 1.05 Beta 4, don't recall putting any special hotfix on this one either

October 19, 1941 in 1936 scenario -- NO -- repeat NO CTD's or line 61 whatever errors yet

Intel I7, 64 bit Vista, 8 GB ram, GeForce 9800 GT video card at 1 GB ram

This is just to let you know that not everybody is getting the problem.
 
We are working on hard on a solution for the line 61 CTD and related errors.

Will take a few days before the next hotfix...

my game keeps crashing on the 2.july1938 as germany36

i saved the game on 1.july38, but when I reload and the day is over, i get a ctd

anyone knows what might be the cause?

edit: 1.5B4 no hotfix

edit2: hm, on the 5th try, it worked, strange (maybe an event that did not fire this time?)
 
For me the game dont work any more I just get those errors.. Anway Il need a brake from it.

I ve observed a pattern in save load ctds

i start aod, then load a game
when i surrender and want to load the last autosave or another savegame, i get a ctd

i cant load 2 savegames without quitting aod completely and restarting aod

While testing I encountered this plane model in many other nations, too. It seems that all (?) nations now use the minor nations sprite set. The obvious candidate would be the country.csv file but that hasn't been changed....

The game would work if I go back to the 1.v4 or that I just replace the newest hotfix but I will still have those other problems.

I'm very sorry but i'm struggling to apply this patch.

I can click on the DL and get the DL then what?

any links to an idiots guide where should i extract the patch to, then what?

Extract to your main AoD directory, which by default should be something like C/Program Files/Paradox Interactive/Arsenal of Democracy. Then overwrite when prompted and you should be good to go. Before this, however, you should also make a back-up of the original files because you'll probably want them in their original state once the patch goes gold.

Thanks but won't work - same problem - it just won't extract to this (comes up with a win dignostic window)

Did you install it in C:/program files? If yes, you should uninstall and install it somewhere else for instance make a .../games/... this should be done with all games you install in the furture since windows will give you trouble.
