I just don't that scenario is likely. The US was in a position to invade Japan and the Soviet Union wasn't. Were do they get all the transport to pull something like that off.

Well, the Soviet's still had their pacific fleet intact, based at Vladivostok throughout the war. The Soviet army planned to sieze Hokkaido if Japan hadn't surrendered, they'd already sized the Kurile Islands.
