The patch note say "New high-end automated storage building which can take over 4,000 units of separate resource is available for your Colony." I could really use this now, but I'm not seeing it available under the storages build menu. Granted, I just loaded my saved game from before this patch, so maybe it's not there for saved games?

I also don't see the additional workshop buildings, nor the large water tank. And I don't see anything new in the research tree. (I've already researched everything.)

i recall seeing that there are techs to unlock those buildings, so my guess is new game?
good to know this might be a problem for me, as i'm diving into the new content soon as i get home from work and i'll try and mentally prepare for the possibility of abandoning my current game ;)

Aw.
44N 112W. Paradox/Futurist. 515% difficulty. Sol 1374. 350 colonists. Over 14k food, 8k metal, 6k concrete. Everything researched. Score over 61k. Everything running like a purring kitten. And...now I've got to restart to get some of the new stuff.

the devs are fond of saying "don't write off your existing saves...". they claim they try to fix issues introduced into existing saves, might may be the case here.
if not, someone will make a mod that just consists of granting the new techs i bet

The new storage buildings a bit quirky. They use a crane to move resources from the main storage area into the smaller storage spot that drones, shuttles, and rovers can get into. I had an incident where my metal storage decided it wasn't going to make any of the surplus available when I was building a new dome until all other sources of metals were empty (no metal sitting outside any mine kind of thing) which put off the construction for about two sols.

Interestingly enough, if there's a sudden spike in demand for resources held by that specific storage that puts it over the 5-9 accessible units of the resource it keeps out, it will rapidly move resources out of the main storage until the access area either contains at least as much as needed or is full instead of bottlenecking the process by being too slow dispensing them as the pad is emptied to do anything. This is actually a neat little detail if you watch, say, a fuel storage when a rocket lands.
