Options screen delayed

I'm sure this has been reported, but couldn't find it in a brief look at the bugs listed.

On the option screen the arrow does not respond to mouse movements correctly. Each movement you make is delayed by several seconds, making it very difficult to change volume and game speed.

Definately a serious annoyance when the wife comes into the room and wants the volume turned down.

Just took me 10 minutes to change the SFX volume and autosave. This really needs to be fixed. What is the problem?

no kidding? The game runs great besides the option screen. I'm the only one experiencing this?

Did you call up the options screen from within a game, or from the start scenario/save game screen?

If it's from within the game, try to see if it makes any difference when you switch to another than terrain view first. In an unmodded game, the terrain view map mode (which is the default) places a huge strain on your graphics card, roughly double when compared to the other map modi.

It sounds from your description of the problem that the graphics response time to your mouse actions is too slow, which suggests an overloaded graphics subsystem.

I had to ditch the default terrain view and revert to the EU2/HoI style terrain map mode (color coded provinces) to get acceptable graphics response times out of Vicky on my Athlon XP1600+/512 MB RAM/GeForce 4 system.
