Order of installation etc.

If this is posted in the wrong sub-forum, I humbly ask for forgiveness and the movement of this to the correct one.

I've just acquired Vicky + Ricky, and I'm about to install now. So I'm mainly wondering, in what order shall I install patches and such?

Alternative 1:

1. Install Vicky
2. Install latest Vicky-patch
3. Install Ricky
4. Install latest Ricky-patch
5. Free to mod/play the game

Alternative 2:

1. Install Vicky
2. Install Ricky
3. Install latest Ricky-patch
4. Free to mod/play the game

Alternative 2, but you don't need to install the ricky patch. Ricky is patched to 2.01. You should install Ohgamer's hotfixes for Ricky. See his sig.

I also strongly recommend OHGamer's fix pack for Revolutions. Note that if you want to play the 1861 scenario then you must either patch Victoria before installing Rev or install OHGamer's fixes after installing Rev as there is a missing file for that scenario in Revolutions.
