MULTIPLAYER SESSION

Good day follow Stellaris friends,

I want to start this thread to organize some multiplayer games with groups of at least 5+ players per game.
I'm sure most of you love the game like i do and would love to play against other players and not just AI.
as engaging into diplomacy / war / federations etc. is much more interesting than just playing AI.

So lets get a couple of people together and make it happen, i suggest over weekends as we all know the length of an average Stellaris game :p:cool:

regards

As much as I love the idea, I've attempted this in the past and I can tell you it is nigh impossible. 2 or 3 is usually ok but once you start trying to get 5+ people online at the same time from multiple time-zones, there's always at least one person who forgets, is late, has to go out, drops connection etc and the games only progress a few hours per week, especially since it's very hard to coordinate the speed of the game. Everyone needs the game paused form time to time at the expense of every other player. Someone is getting invaded and needs the game on normal, while 2 other players are at peace and are just waiting the 10 years for a new tech to finish and need the game on fastest. Which is a huge shame since I watched the youtuber stellaris war and have desperately wanted to do something similar since but bar getting everyone under one roof for a LAN game over a weekend, it's unfortunately just not possible.
If you do manage to get something like this going however, count me in :D

I do not want to sound like "smart guy", but I was reading and thought about sharing few ideas.

Mp community could be organised into triers of trustfulness, so people with high trust and less likely to miss game play together and those who don't, well they got to earn it via playing and not dropping out.

Regarding speed, you really do not need to sit by and watch dates tick, there is allways room for more micromanage! But if others wage war and you are really out of micro, you can watch them fight (buy/negotiate active sensors), so you can study their ships and tatics and if it is boring, you can always alt-tab and do whatever you want to do or read a book, or play/learn a banjo...Person who requested slow-mo or pause or GM should after changing speed give a warning to all present, via chat&microphone.

ya im very interested i just posted a thread myself trying to get people.. so maybe we can all figure out a time and place... create a discord channel maybe... let me kno, i will be checking this site periodically thru the week

Hey guys,

We've had a regular weekday game going around 8 months now. Our weekday casual match averages 10-15 players a session, it runs Tuesday and Thursday 10 PM EST to 1 am est.

There are also players looking for games all the time.
