Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to the multiplayer experience and was wondering what the rules are regarding origins. If I have the federations DLC but one of my friends doesn't, does that mean I can't use a federations origin? I know other features are locked off but wasn't sure if it applied to origins. Thanks for your help :)

Origins aren't directly tied to the Federations DLC

i did a test with it disabled, using the most recent version of the game, went to create a new empire and all the Origins were still there

i believe that the way dlc content works is that whatever dlc the host has all other players can use. i don't play mulltipler myself but i saw a couple posts to that effect
