other countries tech level

In several AAR, the author indicates if his country is ahead in some tech, or compare his level to other countries.


How do you manage to know the level another country reached in the trade, land, whatever tech? Do they look in the files or is it a feature included in the game I missed?


Also, what the meaning of the "neighbor bonus". For instance, if you get a +2 neighbor bonus, does it mean that 2 nations are ahead of you? Or that the better nation has completed 2 more levels than you? Or something else? Finally, are only the actual neighbors considered, or any other nation?

U could see the archives (F6) to see graphs for the majors, or look into the savefile for everyone or use a tool called EUspy, downloadable at several sites, amongst whom Huszics.

The +2 refers to 2 ducats a month going to that research because of ur neighbours being more adavanced than u in that field.

I think the neighbours are ur tech group (latin, orthodox, moslem and pagan)

Yes, I know it gives you 2 ducats, but I was wondering if it means also that 2 neighbors are ahead of you or something like that....
