Yeah... Sometimes, though not often, the game goes completely haywire, with weird DOWs all over the place. Usually reverting to your last save solves the problem. Have you tried that yet by any chance? It would be a shame if you would decide to uninstall CORE when a simple reload would suffice.

Obviously it's on our #1 spot of things to fix. We're narrowing down on the problem, but haven't solved it yet. It surely has to be solved for 0.30, as far as I'm concerned.

Does the state that is DOW'ed have really high belligerence (100+) even though it shouldn't? Sadly I forgot to check that during the only time I have encountered that bug.

The only similar thing in vanilla happens where Iraq will also get a lot of unwanted DOWs due to problems with the syrian coup events.

Initial beligerence levels are double those of Vanilla, so it seems a logical cause to all this...

Yes, but they shouldn't be high enough to trigger these DOWs. Under vanilla you can see that Iraq receives that DOWs when their belligerence is really high (a few hundred points or even more). Low double figures shouldn't trigger that even with generally higher interventionist values.

Perhaps you should revise the war variable values in the ai files. Most seem to be at zero already but there are several exceptions. CGX (which was my culprit) should not be eager to start new wars especially if its war with NatChina is scripted anyway.

hmm, so i need to set autosave in each 1 or 3 months. thanks
Only at the very beginning. I've never heard of this happening before after '37?

I've played a few games and hasn't happened yet.

You will get other "odd" things later, but that's a-history rather than an AI fluke.

Like sometimes war gets started early because the AI doesn't feel like appeasing Nazi's. It's annoying if you hate that kind of thing, but that's what CORE is for.

The CTD can happen later than that, once there's a large DOW chain (happened to me in 1940). Looks like an overload to the game to me. I haven't heard of any weird DOW chains though after 1937.

The rest, obviously, is the what-if option CORE stands for. ;)

I got this in 1938 October.
As I was saying, I haven't heard of any weird DOW chains though after October 1938... :D

Had the weird DoW chain again happened on 1939 November, this time, some country start to DoW Japan and then offer to join my Alliance, including Brazil, USA, Poland (I give up Danzig due to poor prewar build up), Nationalist Spain, Portugal, Eygpt (???) and some other.

But jest aside, we consider it to be the #1 issue to fix. It's just that it's not really reproducible (by us, so far), which throws truckloads of spanners into the works... But it's being looked at.
