Finally have a consistent cause to this. It's stationing MaA that causes the desync every time when I play. I'm the only one affected by this bug. Restarting the pc, reinstalling the game after deleting `/paradoxinteractive/ck3` and `steamapps/common/ck3` doesn't resolve the issue.

Well I'm sorry for perhaps misleading, but what we actually believe it is is turning on notification in the decision tab. This seems to be the most consistent cause. Never turning on notifications (notify me when this decision is available) prevents a desync from happening.

I am having this same problem.
Shot in the dark, but I suspect it may have something to do with my Accolade Bug.
My primary heir inherited an acolade making me unable to forbid him from war, so I swapped the acolade to someone else, and now I have two acclaimed knights that get replaced by their successor every once in a while, but I only have one accolade slot, so I really shouldn't have 2 acclaimed knights.
Just a guess that revoking and remaking an accolade in a multiplayer game (while not the host?) causes a desync issue that on 95% of game starts will fail after 5-14 days (sometimes after trying over and over we could play for 8 hours straight, and when we saved and continued later we couldn't pass the 5-14 day mark no matter what combination of restarting, letting time run, hot join, etc we tried.
Very sad to have a multiplayer foray into the new systems slowly turn to ash in everyone's mouth as you spend hours hoping the game can progress further than 5-14 days.

Have any of you guys tried to use the new game setting I found, that you can lower the data rate. I changed this setting to low and although it took forever to boot up, I didn't have any de-sync issues. Actually I had one, but it was from a player joining way later after the game started and it just booted him.

Yeah we tried that. Sadly all it did was increase the amount of time we had to wait before enjoying another crash.

Are you on the same Network?
Yes, connected through ethernet to our home network playing in the same room.
Now that you mention it, we were almost certainly connecting through the internet even though we we're in the same room, though I'm unsure if there's a way to connect locally. I never even thought to look.

It's also worth mentioning that yes, we have tried lowering our data rate, and had no success with it.

I was connected with ethernet, my friend with wlan, then I changed my internet to the one of my mobile phone hotspot.

We lowered the rate to "low"

and with both changes it finally worked again. I think maybe it downloads the wrong "package" when both pc's are in the same network but yeah I don't know much about this...

Same problem here, specifically one player that has it in a 4-man game. Tried lowering data rate, bought us 1-2 days of play. It consistently dies after 10 days of game, the play experiencing the OOS has problems after 8 days. Sometimes he takes another player with him. Attaching save, last autosave and all OOS details we encountered - also those that happened before the problem occured.

Me and my two friends are encountering the same problem.
1066 start date might not suffer from the issue.
We started at 1066 and have been encountering the problem in an increasing frequency. We're roughly 107 years in and cannot progress past that 5-10 day window without a sync error.
It's pretty infuriating to be blocked off from enjoying the multiplayer side of CK3, and I hope this is being looked into.

We had the same issue(s). The only thing that helped was loading an autosave 1-2 months before the first out-of-sync to continue the game. Otherwise it was not possible to continue the savegame without having out-of-sync after ~10 days.
