How do you pronouce "outremer"? I know it's a stupid question but I've only seen this word in print.

As DK said it's French. It means "On the other side of the ocean" if I've understood this right.
It means "overseas" and it is pronounced [utr{e}mer] where {e} is a reversed "e".

Thanks! I knew it was french and what it meant I just did not know how to pronouce it! I never understood French.

It is "coup de grace" not "graçe". In French, "c" is pronounced "s" when followed by i or e.
Wasn´t there a special dagger used for the coup de grace - the misericord?

Indeed, the "miséricorde" was a small dagger used in fencing to push your opponent to surrender when he is at your mercy (mainly during the middle age).
They were often highly decorated, and sometimes given as gifts between wealthy noblemen. I think it's hilarious, give somebody the weapon he may well use to puncture your throat someday!
