I don't think there's a solution for that issue, but I wouldn't shorten the names because most players will only see this screen for a few seconds, but the full in-game names for hours.

But wait! You might extend the directly selectable nations from 10 to 20 (like in vanilla 1938 scenario). I think this'll make the names not be lined up like this. Try it. :)

On the same matter, what graphics file changes the diplomatic menu's "areas" (the box with the alliance name)? I'm modding the game, and when I change one alliances name, it goes annoyingly over the box borders.

thx for the advice Leonaru, but unfortunately it doesn't do the trick xD Il try downsizing the names a bit, some are too big

tuore im not sure what you are reffering to. I found some files named Allied_ledg, Axis_ledg, and Comun_ledg in the gfx/interface folder. Maybe that? Also i think endgame files in gfx/interface/frontend need to be changed after. Let me know about this im also quite interested, but wont have the time to test it in the next 2 days.

Well i plan on using militia to represent zombies. I still have to plan it throught better xD I was also planing to replace dissent with an infected value that would represent the precentage of infected people within your country (thats why i would replace milita with zombie troops). I still have to figure out how to deal with tanks, and other stuff.
BTW is it still impossible to add new unit types? Or did they make that doable in Arsenal?

IIRC it should be possible... don't ask me how exactly, though :) .

Well that's encuraging enough :) i guess il deal with it when i get to it

I don't know if it is possible. We were trying to do something similar, but I think it is hard coded. Do you mean like the Chicago Pact text is here:

The file we tried was gfx/interface/bg_diplomacy.bmp
If you find out how, please do send me a PM.

Wow, a Zombie mod.

I wonder how you're going to exploit the game's combat mechanics to adapt it to Zombie warfare.

I always imagined this is how I would do it:

Drop MP gain to 0. No 'Human' nation gets any manpower.
Zombies have insane moral, but low soft attack and max softness. I also would have had tons of zombie divisions.

Well my mode is about zombies carrying an infection, so there will be an MP gain in the surviving human enclaves (26 of them so far). I will also change the tricklback modifiers and replace the hospital techs to reflect the development of vaccines and treatments for zombie infection. I agree with the zombie morale soft attack and max softness, but i also plan to add special "mutated" zombies that have hard attack. Altough this would come at a later stage. I really should open a new thread for this later xD
