By now I gave it allot of time to recover. It didn't.
Removed all the zones and it goes down but to more or less half of what it was and stays there.

Can you please add a option/button to simply remove all homeless citizens?
Perhaps you have a problem not related to what this mod does and the mod cannot fix it for you. Perhaps you should first understand why your people are homeless and then try to fix the root cause.

I cant say in all cases but the one I can see it is because I demolish their house.
They stay in the sidewalk and don't go anywhere with "Going home". If I reset the citizens they move to another place and turn to "Idling" but I am not sure if the "Idling" happens in all cases.

Please have a look at this post:

Post about the same subject I also made.

root cause is a game breaking bug introduced in the new economy 2.0 patch. I was actually looking here to see if this mod would help but I guess only the return of vacationing devs will be able to fix the hot mess they made

Everyone, I think you were lead here because this mod does do a fix for the homeless population, but NOT THE PROBLEM we're having with Economy 2.0, this mod if you read its description is intended to fix a different bug that has been around for months (note this was made in April) that resulted in overpopulated buildings creating homeless citizens. The current homeless issue is a totally different issue of people seemingly going homeless when the game prompts them to move, rather than finding new housing. Maybe @Infixo can help with a fix, maybe not, but its not helpful to complain about this mod or repeatedly ask for an update. Apples and oranges.
