PDS is happy to present:
My name is: David Ballantyne
My forum nick is: Darkrenown
At Paradox Development Studio I work as: Scripter
So what do I do, really – what does that mean: Everything that isn't art, sound or code. Events, setup, design, playtesting, QA, etc. I keep busy.
I have worked on: EU3: Divine Wind, HOI3: For the Motherland, V2: A House Divided. Secret Bears. HOI3: Their Finest Hour. V2: Heart of Darkness. EUIV.
Right now I´m working on: <Super-secret fun stuff>
My best moment at Paradox Development Studio: Wiping out Podcat's clan in the first 10 minutes of an office MP game of Sengoku. He was distracted by reading the tutorial popups.
My best game ever and why I like it (that I did not create): Probably EUIII. I love the scope and the number of different nations you can play as. Freespace 2 gets a mention though: DIVE DIVE DIVE!!! I also have a love/hate relationship with World of Tanks.
My best party trick on the PDS Friday beer: At the old office it was climbing on things, here at the new office I mostly just nag people to speak English.
My hobbies include: Reading, walking my dogs, and playing computer games.
I have decorated my desk with: Winston Churchill's history of WWII, and a USB nerf missile launcher (Currently aimed at Podcat).
Little known fact about a Paradox Development Studio game:
You can type "Cthulhu" in the console of Victoria 2 for a secret message.

Oh, what are the best and worst things about Sweden?

Best: Julmust.
Worst: Everyone speaks Swedish.

Edit: Sweden is a pretty nice place though, Stockholm is a good looking city, and the countryside is still fairly "untouched" looking. A more real downside is some bureaucratic systems are overly complex and seem to make things difficult on purpose, oh, and the banks hate having customers.

Almost everyone is working on supergames.. I think we're being played with here :D :D :D

What kind of dogs do you have and how many? :) That plural got me thinking of something like this 628x471.jpg

Do those things actually work well? They always show up on "hip Christmas presents for nerds" sort of list and they seem modestly-priced.

They are ok for shooting someone a desk or two away. 20 feet if you are lucky.

Just 2, GSDs:
