PDS is happy to to present:
My name is: Aline Gladh ( www.alinegladh.com)
My forum nick is: Adrenaline
At Paradox development studio I work as: I work as a 2D artist, which means I make all kinds of graphics that are flat, such as interface, loading screens, cover art, concept etc.
I have worked on:
March of the Eagles (Interface, cover etc)
Hearts of Iron 3 (minor things)
Victoria II: Heart of Darkness (minor interface stuff, loading screen/cover)
Europa Universalis IV (Interface, environment pics, loading screens etc)
Right now I´m working on:
Europa Universalis IV
Secret Project 1
Secret Project 2
My hobbies include: Drawing, working out, hanging out and baking pretty pastry.
I have decorated my desk with: A model of an Audi R8, toys from my childhood (Batman, MC-mouse and some other stuff), two rabbits made of white stone and a bottle of champagne. For Christmas I've added a decorated fake candle.
My super power is: I am extremely good at packing groceries into bags! (And also I can read minds.)
Little known fact about a Paradox Development Studio game: A lot of the European event pictures for Europa Universalis IV is actually drawn in a traditional way (pen on paper) and not with a wacom tablet.
My best moment at Paradox Development Studio: Every little moment that shows how people care, both about each other and about their work.
My personal motto is: If you want to, you can and you will. (In Swedish: Vill man, så kan man och då gör man!)

More 2D artists, whoo. Love the event illustrations :)

Crusader Kings II -expansion and a new game, I guess... and who knows if there are more than two?

Why would they have to be games?

Paradox could be building a giant laser capable of destroying the moon

Would an expansion be a secret project, surely they'd just come under the banner of their base game? So that'd imply two new games.

So it was you who did the cover picture for the heart of darkness menu screen ?

Personally I found it great, just seemed to fit the whole Conrad atmosphere while being really enjoyable to look at !

Direct translation: Does man want, as can man and then does man.

Sorry, I had to do it ! :p

Hahaha it's a man's world isn't it? ;) Actually though the swedish word 'man' does not only mean 'man/male'. It is also used as the eng. word 'one', but that sounds really Shakespeare so I thought 'you' where more modern/fitting in this case ;)

There's even people in Sweden who want to replace "man" with "en" (meaning "one") to make it more gender neutral.

Also, Hi! Good to see you posting on the forums!

Yeah :) What makes this funny is that Sweden is the most gender neutral country I know!

Thats true of English as well.
The masculine, wermann/wereman/wehr/vir/wer was dropped in favour of just using the gender-neutral man for both around the move from old to middle english, so while man usually means male now, the original gender neutral meaning is retained, as for example in mankind or your fellow men, man the lifeboats, etc.
It's really only from the 1960s on that man has become primarily used to mean males only and even then not universally.
