PDS is happy to present:
My name is: Henrik Eklund
My forum nick is: Goosecreature
At Paradox Development Studio I work as: Scripter
So what do I do, really – what does that mean? I script and write content (events, decisions, etc) for our games and perform historical research as needed.
I have worked on: At PDS primarily Crusader Kings 2, but I have also done some minor scripting work on HoI3: Their Finest Hour and Europa Universalis 4.
Right now I'm working on: Secret Project
Which game I am most looking forward to: I can't wait to play the next generation of space sims – Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous most of all.
I have decorated my desk with: Some paperwork, a pair of headphones, a coffee mug and whatever stuff has spilled over from Doomdark's desk.
My kryptonite is: Sunlight.
My favorite game: It's impossible to pick a single favorite, but Star Control 2 is definitely among my Top Ten.
What I am currently playing: At the time of this writing, I'm working my way through the XCOM: Enemy Within expansion and Assassin's Creed IV.
Little known fact about the Paradox Development Studio: People here are ruthless when we play our games in multiplayer internally. Some of the schemes I've seen would make Machiavelli blush.

Yeah, I am sure reading some of those schemes would be really interesting :)

having watch the EUIV live stream... just the magnitude of the "schemes" should be quite impressive

It would be awesome if Paradox did a turn based tactical game a la XCOM, but super complex and in a historical setting.

Like a Jagged Alliance type game, but set in the 1700s with muskets? Maybe you would take like 2-3 turns just to reload your musket each time you shot it..... ;)

Why did you choose "Goosecreature"? does it have a special significance or were you trying to be quirky and unique

It was an obscure surname used by Monty Python for some characters in a few of their lesser known sketches (Mrs. Yeti-Goosecreature, etc). I always liked it and found, to my utter surprise, that this iconic name had somehow been overlooked by others when I was struggling to come up with a unique name for my PDS forum account. Sometimes you're just lucky, I guess.
