I don't currently have a Steam Deck but I'd consider getting one if I could play Paradox games on it, particularly EU4, Vic3 and soon Project Caesar.

Has anyone tried playing these games on the Deck? I'm mainly concerned about if the controls are comfortable and if the screen is large enough to be able to see properly.

I would get a Steam deck if I could play CK2 and CK3 on it. Does anyone have experience playing CK2 on Steam Deck?

Proton always a good place to check compatibility for that kind of stuff.

If you would prefer a first hand account, like many others on these boards I own both of those games and a steam deck so I can check it out over the weekend and let you know.

Yes please! Reason I'm asking is that my eyes are so bad that I had to download Better readable Fonts for CK2, and even that isn't ideal. I just want to see some screen caps of CK2 and CK3, see if the font is more readable then it is on my Desktop screen...

I would imagine it would be very small in that case, but I'll check it out for you.

For a strategy fix on the deck I normally play Age of Wonders 4, Spellforce Conquest of Eo and Solium Infernum which all have big text.

I've seen the screen size for Steam Deck, and might games like CK2 organize their visuals, tooltips and messaging differently for Steam Deck?
