Paradox Launcher needs an own bug report thread [gets stuck installing game (Stellaris)]

Greetings upon,

I tried to install Stellaris via the paradox launcher, but it got stuck at "downloading pathc (5/7)". I checked the internet connection which works fine. There is an older thread from 2018 with the same problem. I don't own other paradox games which are supported via the launcher, so I can check if that is a Stellaris only problem.

I would also recommend a bug reporting site, or a own thread specifically for serving the paradox launcher, for there are some folks who really like to test and use it.

What version of the Paradox client do you see? Current is 1.0-beta-75

Do make sure that all traffic to and from api.paradoxplaza.com and api.paradox-interactive.com is allowed through all your firewalls.

I do have the recent version you have stated. Is there a way to see a terminal output of the installation process? Because then I could give better information.

In Windows it's logged to a file cpatch.log in C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Paradox Interactive/launcher/ . I'm assuming from your sig that this case is on Linux though; if so I don't have the file location on Linux to hand but if you can find that file it might help.

Your assumption is correct, I recently switched to linux, so no expert here.

Maybe you have a clue when looking at the folder.

Okay I ran up my Ubuntu VM installation. The client log file is .local/share/ParadoxInteractive/launcher/cpatch.log - I'm surprised a search for that filename did not find it!

There are other .log files in that folder too, may as well add the latest one here, thanks.
