This can only be good for us grand strategy players. Paradox getting more money from console sales means they have more money to spend on making great games.

Exhibit A: the new XCOM. You can clearly see where they simplified things to better accomodate console players.

Im all for porting, but one has to admit its a slippery slope, you start by just porting the game as is and reworking the controls, and next thing you know youre cutting corners and streamlining things to accomodate the controller.
 
PI moving into the console market releasing games such as The Showdown Effect and War of The Roses makes total sense and can only improve the company's standing and budget available to produce further and higher quality games.

PDS attempting to move their portfolio over however would be completely different and highly unlikely to be attempted.
