Victoria 3.

It will be the greatest paradox game ever, ever.

Victoria III comes now. And then Crusader Kings III. And then Europa Universalis... 5. And then Europa Universalis: Roma...nia. And then maybe Rome. Or better yet, no Rome :D
This. Rome must be buried under the industrial might and steam engines of Victoria!

Puny Romans and their insignificant legions- We have guns! Science! Industry! Progress!

Victoria is a niche game, I like it but come on, Rome is light years ahead in scope and epic ness and potential

No, not really
The scope is bigger, you´re right on this point. But simply because of the longer timeline. On epicness, well, i think it´s up to personal preference there. But the potential of Victoria is way way bigger then the one of Rome.

Well consider how many books, movies and games are about the roman era and how many are about the Victorian era, despite the later one being so close in time...

There are many books about the victoria timeline, they just aren´t that famous. Many books are about the colonialism, the social upheavel, and espacially the liberal revolutions of the time. And there are also movies about the time. There are tons of movies about the american civil war, the wild west, and World War I. But yeah, on the point of games, you´re right. But as there are rather few games of the period, it´d be smart for PDS to expand into this rather un-crowded market, instead of trying to get a foothold into a over-crowded market like the roman age.

He said niche game because it's the worst selling of the four franchises.

I demand a sequel to Europa Universalis 2. It's not EU 3 or even EU 4, but it would be Europa Universalis 2 2!
Yes I am the marketing director of Square Enix.

I'm not sure we deserve a Rome 2, though. I mean, it would basically be taking Crusader Kings 2's character focus to the next level and with all sorts of crazy focus on internal politics... If they released that and Victoria 3, I'm not sure I'd ever play another game again until Rome 3 and Victoria 4 came out.
