If they did, why did the one that came with EU4 not function correctly with Hoi4 according to the above user?
EU4 and HOi4 handle mods rather differently, AND HOI4 users tend to use more and heavier mods than EU4 players. I have seen the same mod issues that HOI4 commonly gets, also happen with CK3, EU4 and Stellaris occasionally.

This sounds rather ... contradicting of your previous statement good sir. So are you for certain the two use the same installation of the launcher, or two separate ones?

The same one, you'll see it in C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2021.9/paradox launcher.exe . All that's in the game folder is dowser.exe which starts the launcher run process, then terminates itself after handing off to C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe , which the hands off to Paradox Launcher.exe

Different games can have different configuration settings that the launcher uses (launcher-settings.json in each game folder), which is how the UI looks different in some games - eg CSL has no Mods tab.

Is there any way to stop the Paradox Launcher on Linux from using my colour profile?

(My colour profile, which was just pulled out of a hat from somewhere, is badly wrong, and the only other application I have installed that uses it has an option to disable it, so I'm not willing to spend any effort on fixing it. I'd just really like the yellows in the Paradox launcher to be yellow, not purple.)

Any way to just disable this whole account linking crap?
Tried deleting the launcher v2 thing and it just broke crap and went right back to the same issue of not letting me edit.
Along with making doubles of every mod in my HoI4 mod list. just a tad extremely annoying.

Literally made a whole account just to complain about the installer. Sounds dumb and not worth the effort but I am **ssed that I just spent $40 on a paradox game but can't play it because I have to use their absolutely broken & uninstallable launcher. Paradox, I love your games, but you boys have some serious work to do. I should be able to play your game without having to resort to hours of online research and techno-wizardry.

Our launcher is neither broken nor uninstallable, in general. Of course there are some users having some issues with it, as there always are with any app.

If you can detail what actual problem you are having with it we'll help you.

So I own multiple games from Paradox and all the games use single launchers. When I click on the launcher on my desktop it takes me to one game CK3. Does anyone know how to fix this I want all my games on one launcher. I own Shadowrun, Vic3, Surviving the Aftermath, Surviving Mars, City Skylines, Etc. Is there a tutorial out there?

That is normal and expected - of the games you own, only CK3 and Surviving Mars were ever supported on the standalone Paradox launcher platform. The others were never ported to it. And, CK3 is not longer supported there so you'll only see old game versions and DLCs there.

You should only play all those games from your Steam Library, not by running the launcher separately.

All the best!

if that's the case then Why can't I uninstall your launcher. You basically just said the launcher is bloatware. I thought the Swedes have laws against anti-consumer practices

I said nothing of the sort. And don't swear here, it is against forum rules - post edited accordingly.

When you run any of those games from the Steam Play button,. the same launcher runs but in a Steam-compatible mode. Its purpose then is so you can select mods, DLCs, and make some game settings changes, before you go into the game. Otherwise you'd have to make those changes in-game, exit the game, and run it again for them to take effect.

Before the unified launcher each game had its own one to do the same functions (as older games like CK2, Vic2, HOI3 etc still do, for instance). Having one launcher actually uses less disk space that each game having its own, like it used to be.
