patch 1.02 broke installation

Hello,

after installing the 1.02 patch the game crashes when loading
a scenario or saved games. There are no error messages,
game immediately crashes and returns to windows desktop
screen. I have the following configuration:

HoI, Scandinavian version
Windows XP
DirectX 8.1
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
ATI Radeon 9000

Maybe some help over here.

New patches are not compatible with old saved games. Start a new game with 1.02 installed.

No way I have ZERO problems playing my games from v.1.01 on v1.02!

It is not garanteed to cause problems but it can! It is suggested that you start a new game with each new patch.
