patch 1.05 frozen/immobile AI army bug

Hi, has had this happened to me as a vassal to sweden, france and germany, basically, the king calls and I agree to mobilization, but then the entire national army just stays there frozen in their provinces while the costs run up.

This has also occured when my own vassal self-mobilize sometimes, they just hang around frozen in their own province and look at the sky.

I can get it to move if I save and reload/restart the game...

BTW, this is a great great game, has anyone ran across this bug (latest 1.05 patch) and is there any way to avoid it? It's very annoying and ruins what is an otherwise perfect gaming experience (I just cannot believe how absorbing this game is).

Welcome to the forum.

No there is nothing to prevent this from happening, all Paradox games sometimes suffer from a 'sleeping AI'. Saving and reloading sometimes helps

If you are a vassal and you give your liege control over your regiments, set your army-maintenance (in the treasury screen) to zero. The AI will then pay for the upkeep of the troops, so you don't go into debt because of that.

Your troops won't suffer attrition because you don't pay for them, the AI pays.

When everything in this game works, it is one of the best I've ever played (and I've played lots)...don't often sign up to forums, but just wanted to congratulate the makers for their very fine efforts, bugs and all :rofl:
