I loved EU2! It was so addictive that last year I removed it from my pc so I can get some good nights of sleep.

Recently I decided to re-install the game, which worked just fine until I tried to install the patch 1.08.

After the patch was installed, when the program is loading, I would get three error msgs about missing file asking me to "Retry, Abort, Ignore" then it would bring me to the main menu before the entire program shuts down on its own.

The Scenerio editor would work for maybe 10 seconds before it shuts down also.

I did not have problem with the previous patch, which unfortunately I was not able to locate.

I upgraded my pc earlier this year and just recently installed the newest video driver. The OS is Windows 2000 Professional. The EU patch I downloaded was North American version.

Any advise on how to fix this? I greatly appreciate it.

Install DX 9.0B or later.

What were the file names in the error?

Older patches can be found at the end of the stick thread labeled latest patch is ...

I've installed the latest DirectX and set the color to 16bits. However I am still getting the same problem. When I run EU2, these three seperate Critical Error messages pop up:

Palette 'gfx\palette\djonk_palette.bmp' not found!

Palette 'gfx\palette\napo_palette.bmp' not found!

Palette 'gfx\palette\DHow_palette.bmp' not found!

It would ask me to Retry, Abort or Ignore. Then it would load to the main menu and then the program would shut down.

The following problem occur with Scenerio Editor program. I would get the follow error:

Application Error

0xoo40beda referenced memory at oxc7dbd3c". The memory could not be read.

Thanks for your help!

Absolutly sure you have the right version of game to patch?

I got an error when I installed NA patch to my UK version once...

Aside from the Polish patch there is only on 1.08 version.

What version of the game do you have?
The publishers name and log will be on the CD.

Same problem, djonk_pallette.bmp not found

Have had the same problem when installing the 1.08 patch, but can play just fine with my installed version, 1.0.0.1. Any suggestions? I am running Windows XP Pro, have the latest version of DirectX, and have tried the 1.07 patch for North America. That patch did not even detect that I had EU2 installed.

Same question as above.

Did you install to the default drive and directory?
