The launcher for Rome Europa doesnt work so I start the game with the Romegame executable file. Yes, I have activated .net in windows and the launcher still doesnt work.

I cant get the 1.2 patch without the launcher working. How can I download it? Can this be made available somewhere?

I'd like the 1.2 patch b/c supposedly this stops the game from crashing which is extremely annoying.

Have you registered your copy of the game? You can do so via the forum (see the stickies).

Doing so enables the 'tech support' thread. Its first thread is a link to d/l the patch.

Thanks very much. That worked. No more crashes, yeah. Dont get me wrong, probably an issue with Vista more than the game.

Wish they put the key on the manual or box though. I couldnt find it anywhere and went online to find out where it was. That little piece of paper its on fell to the bottom of one of my drawers.

Now that you've registered the game, you can see the Tech Support forum. The patch is available via a download link at the top of that forum. That should solve your patching problem. In case it doesn't, I'm going to move this thread there so you can get further help.
