Hullo everyone,
I recently bought Europa Universlais 2 on its first day of release here in New Zealand. I know that there are many bugs in the game and immediately went to download the latest patch. I assumed that this would be the U.S 1.04 patch and after installing it I get the error message wrong cd found or somthing similar.

I then re-installed and updated with Nordic patch which wont even install on my computer so there is my dilemma. There are two different patches and neither work with my copy of the game.

Note, my box and CD have Strategy First platered all over them, and I am running Windows 2000 professional.

Cheers and any help would be appreciated.

SF are the US publishers so you had the right patch to start with. try uninstalling the game completely, defag your disk then reinstall and install NA 1.04 immediately. If you still get the problem let us know the exact error; probably it is a copy protection issue which I'm afraid means you have to talk to SF, not Paradox, as SF did the copy protection for their version.

Its says "Wrong disk inserted"

Only two patches available and tried both

Shouldnt need defrag as I only re-formatted last thursday.

My version at title screen is EU 1.00

Thanks for your help, I am using an old Hitachi 6x DVD and
new 16x10x40x LG CD writer

Gonna try and make copy of the game.

So many games with copy protection that is easy for hackers to get around but leaves god fearing legitimate user up the creek.

Keep an eye on the link that Slartibartfast gave your a few posts earlier.
There appears to be a facotr with the Oz/NZ release.
Viper will try to find out from his SF Contact and I have alerted Patric.

I will close this thread to keep things tidy:)
