For the upcoming operation, I think it would be a good idea to add some quality-of-life options.

Here are 2 btw. 3 ideas:
  • Queueing research and MIO upgrades, so that as a major nation, you can already set some priorities for your MIO if you want to—without constantly having to interrupt gameplay. This would reduce the number of clicks and improve convenience.
  • An optional pop-up reminder when espionage activities are completed—there is a mod for this, but having it as a built-in option would be great.

Why add any queues if you can just add automatic improvements like in Stellaris? It's much simpler both technically and more convenient for players

Strongly agree with this. The second at least as an alternative to hopefully eventually one day having the option of automated espionage.

Please remember these bugs I reported months ago. You deleted the posts, but the bugs were never fixed.

This seems more like stuff that should have been a Day 1 hotfix as opposed to a week later patch. Also can we please stop the trend of making a blatantly OP unit and then nerfing it to the ground afterwards? It just further adds credence to the idea the developers don't actually play the game.

Absolutely, I think the reminder would be the least labor-intensive step, which is why I mentioned it first. Improving the automation of certain espionage processes would naturally be the next logical step.

Given the large number of DLCs, I think it would make sense to improve overall comfort in this area—not just for MIOs, research, or espionage, but perhaps also for the ship upgrade process or pre-selecting ministers who are automatically appointed once you have the PP. However, I don’t want to suggest too much at once, so I’m focusing on the most important things that require relatively little effort. ^.^

I’ll miss overpowered elephants. They’re basically useless now, I have to actually do such silly things as “tanks”.
Good. Should've been a logistic company with bonus movement buff for jungles, forests, hills, and mountains anyway.

I hope we'll still see a British loyalist path added to the British Raj in the near future.

Was this necessary? So now I will have to wait till about 1942-43 for resistance to rise to any significant level where the state can join Azad Hind.

Not to mention that the bug where princely states that don't join Azad Hind from the start can't be cored. And the civil war takes everything away from the Azad Hind and gives it away to British Raj, and gives useless 4 inf divisions, instead of distributing the stockpiles based on autonomy, party popularity, the number of states rebelling or any logical way.

I am already sitting at speed 5, trying to build 0 military equipment because all those will disappear from the stockpile. Now I will have to wait even longer for the resistance to rise.

Honestly doesn't seem like much is in this patch aside from some of the most egregious bugs (like the communist path being completely unselectable). I feel like this doesn't set a great tone for the follow ups, considering the first of the updates already seems to be bare minimum and yet misses some really obvious stuff (ex: Iraq's army spirit still just being "army," the Sikh achievement still being unobtainable, no Lebanon in the Hashemite path - I just don't really see why this took a week)

Can we get any estimate for the scopes of the following updates? I feel like most of the trees need some serious overhauls when it comes to lengths, rewards, and loc, and confidence hasn't exactly been high considering the state of the initial release.
Apologies if maybe my original comment was a little brash, but the actual Game Director of HOI4 just "Disagreeing" this and moving on without comment just further dampens my confidence as a consumer and doesn't seem like great optics. I don't think its unreasonable to expect thorough communication after a release like this, even if maybe my messaging was a little off.

We know virtually nothing about the upcoming releases, other than that Operation KNEE will be a "Patch" for GoE, and Operation SHOULDER is going to be a war effort patch that's probably mostly unrelated to GoE. If Knee is similar in size to this one, I don't think it comes anywhere close to making GoE a DLC you could realistically rate positively still.

The promise of April updates & changes to GoE is nice and a good sign, but is incredibly vague and deliberately avoids making any promises in particular.

I agree with all these, but for those that don't know, you already can queue up MIO upgrades. You just have to do it from scratch at the start of every game. Having templates that save across games would be a godsend

I'm still not sure why these new puppets were created, especially for those who do not own the DLC. They weren't mentioned at all in the DD, details would be appreciated.

I think the reaction mostly was in response to "I just don't really see why this took a week" in your message.

Between all the internal meetings, putting in place the teams to work on these patches, identifiying properly all the numerous reported bugs, and setting up the plan and priorisations to fix them, I do think that the whole HoI team had a rough work week since release.

Usualy the first patch post release drops on week + 2. I think we should see this first patch as "part of the fixes dropped one week in advance".

Next patch should probably be much bigger (finger crossed).

And lastly, here’s an updated roadmap
- Happy to see changes already being made!
-I know that I'm gonna sound like a broken record here and since you are already reworking stuff:
Please make Austria(as A-H/Austrian Empire) have a decision to be able to core southern Poland(Historical Galicia and Bucovina), add this decision to Hungary as well, as why would a decision during an event, made by a another country, make u lose your cores?
-Same goes for Silesia(+ zaolzie) as Im pretty sure that as Hungary, even when you annex Puppeted Czech Kingdom with Silesia you do not core it(unless my game bugged out that time)
- And also, add the Habsburg Spain/Mexico focuses Hungary has, to Austria's Focus tree as well. That would make Austria's focus tree perfect.
(And maybe, add the decision to restore the HRE without giving power to lichtenstein?)

- Some descriptions of some focuses still refer to Otto von Habsburg as being a King/ruling a Kingdom eventhough Austria never was a Kingdom and was a Archduchy ruled by an Archduke.

Yes. Especially when you consider that Palestine, Syria, or Lebanon were merely regional designations; these names were used exclusively for administrative purposes. There was never a colonial state or anything of the sort. The mandate territories were entirely under the direct control of Great Britain, btw. france, without their own regional government.

It looks ugly and to be honest, It gives an ahistorical impression.
It would be enough if we can found these countries. This was also the case in all other Hearts of Iron games.
