Agreed. I think the devs need to look at how diplomacy works in general. Most wars throughout history do not end with the complete invasion and capitulation of one side or the other, its kind of what makes WW2 unique

I hope one day we will have default units models for africa and middle eastern countries (even indians ones now why not)

Could this not be accomplished by giving most of the alt-history branches a decision to sue for peace in the decisions, whereas something like Danzig or War would have no such option? Or the focus could even have a warning such as "If war breaks out, negotiation will be impossible"

It's simple. If you play as turkey, Iraq or Iran you can cap them and get some extra equipments

Why, when Sumka, who was the most loyal to the king, rises, there is a civil war ??? It does not make sense at all to start a war against Sumka, who was the most loyal person to Manshizadeh.

Burma has been a long time coming for me personally, but it should've been a 1939 starting nation like Slovakia.

Or in this matter, should've been UK's nonaligned integrated puppet in 1936 and then turned into nonaligned colony in April 1937.

I also wanted Italian East Africa to be a starting nation in the 1939 start, but that's for another time.

Happy as I am to see improvements, I really hope the next one fixes Italy puppeting itself. If we can get a decision for Ethiopia to offer peace at the same time, all the better.

So, now if you don't get rid of this spirit but still go to war against Britain as Hashemite Iraq, you can never remove it. You are forced to become fascist via the Golden square to get a focus to remove it.

This is just like how if you don't nationalise the oil before going to war against the U.K, you have no way to ever get back your oil. It doesn't go to the U.K because "there is no route" (because you're at war) but you can never get it.

Now I'm really starting to get annoyed as much as everyone else regarding GOE, why didn't anyone think about adding a decision of some kind as compromise to eventually remove the anglo-iraqi treaty if you go to war as Hashemite Iraq without getting rid of it? Or a decision to nationalise the oil if you don't do the focus? or remove the check for if you're at peace with the U.K? Why Why Why?

This wouldn't be that big of a deal to me if you didn't keep adding necessary focus' for me to do. Before operation HEAD I didn't need to do the focus to get Syria, as I could just get the territory in WW2, but with operation HEAD now I can't do that as Syria defaults to Vichy France as a puppet even though I have cores on all their land, so I have to do the 70 day focus to request Syria from France. just like I have to do a 70 day focus to get my oil, and a 70 day focus to not get destroyed by 1000 British naval invasions that have +10% attack bonus against me. Now I have all these extra focus' I have to prioritise instead of getting to the fun focus' that widen out the gameplay like 4th research slot.

And the reason I mention the "fun" part in the last paragraph is because the game has been specifically programmed to make anyone who joins the Axis' lives miserable, and this to me is because the U.K is just absurdly strong because 1. Like all AI, they put way too much production into inf equipment guranteeing you'll be facing massive armies from them and 2. the natural counter to the U.K in the mediterranean and the middle east, Italy has been coded to be completely and utterly useless. Always losing their navy except the battleships in the first few months, and never properly guarding the north african ports. Just to have a fun historical game as Germany, Not only do I have to guard their ports for them, but also guard Rome and Sicily too. But I can't do that as an axis Minor like Iraq, or Bulgaria.

Thx. Is there now a chance to overwrite in game MK 01, 02 with rename also?. As German i like more variants with letters or numbers?

Has every one lend lease bugs? I have order lend lease from France. Before the charge reached me they send me new offers. But i must be stupid to accept before the first charge is delivered. Once that was done, I accepted all seven offers. Was at then end all the same = one charge. But now I can't delete it any more. France can't either. At my flag side there is no land lease flag from france. Only in the diplomatic actions show me there is lend lease they i can modifier. New test switch to France and give me 1000 better rifles but i can't cancle this order also. It could also be because he renegotiated due to the global tension, which dropped from 30 to 29. Normally, the mechanics then cancel the lend-lease.

PS: I have fix it. Switch to france modifier the lend lease and reject it as manchukuo. But it only works every other time. I mean it's only one rifle. That a damn french gun can ruin my game. And the fact that the diplomatic pressure is back to zero after the save load seems to be another nail in the coffin for the Espionage DLC.

Thanks for this new patch.

I see that my bug report on the logic for awarding factories during the Mughal Civil War has been marked as marked as "In Review". Is there a chance this gets corrected in the next patch?

It is frustrating to realize I need to postpone taking these focuses until after the Mughal Civil War white peace, as they are clearly intended to be completed during the Civil War.

If I complete them before the end of the Civil War, you can end up with the below- all awarded factories are placed in states reverting to the Raj once the white peace fires. This can happen if you are able to push deep into the Raj during the Mughal Civil War, which means the game is punishing you for being successful.

You’re right it would be weird for WW2 as it happened to end in a negotiated peace, but if say the British were defeated in just India by India to the point where they have no forces on the subcontinent you would think that both India and Britain may negotiate to end a war for indias independence at that point. No country could realistically keep fighting with some of the losses the AI takes in game, there should be a point where I can ask the ai to end the war in exchange for whatever

Hitler proposed a negotiated peace to the UK after France fell. Stalin proposed a negotiated peace to Germany many times during WWII, last time after Zitadelle in 1943. The German resistance planned for peace negotiations with Allied, if they could have killed Hitler. They made many attempts, although only Walkyrie is widely known.

Since these were historical peace proposals (or attempts), they should be included in game, at least as part of alt-history.

Given the number of attempts at negotiated peace and the fact that such peaces had been the norm for centuries in Europe the possibility should absolutely exist in-game.

We know that PDX is capable of including that sort of Diplomacy AI...they have it in other games. I'd be happy to never see another peace deal that involves Germany annexing the entire Soviet Union, for example. Not a plausible outcome for multiple reasons and the game should depict the sort of disastrous consequences that would ensue if a player tries it.

Can India Loyalist leaders (Cariappa, Manekshaw) stay with nationalist or socialist versions of India instead of defecting to the british Raj during a civil war? That would make more sense.

Thanks for continuing to patch GoE. Looking forward to the war effort this week.

I have been playing around with Afghanistan recently and want to suggest that the focus "Follower of Islam" should not require "Seek American Aid".

I’m hoping PDX sees this because among all of the issues of the DLC, to which there are many, this is the thing that irked me the most.

Paradox, if every constitutional monarchy in the game is represented as a spirit, why is it a locked advisor for Iraq. You have given me a boatload of advisors in the DLC that I would like to use, but for some reason Iraq is unique and locks Ghazi, and later his successor, as an advisor that just takes up a slot. These effects could easily simply be a spirit, that get removed if you get rid of the monarchy.

Please be consistent, Paradox. If it’s a spirit in the UK, Germany, Hungary, Italy, and countless others, it should be a spirit for Iraq.
