Hello

i just went and downloaded the patch from our site. it downloaded succesfully and installed sucessfully.

i have a few ideas worth considering

1) the download got corrupted

I had a friend download the file to verify it worked (it did), so he uploaded the one he downloaded to his server and I FTP'd it from there. Nothing new. (That makes something like 4 downloads of the file, from different sites, and they're always doing this)

2) the patch should be called HOI_Patch_1.02_NA

I changed the name to this (it had dashes rather than underscores) - no change.

3) did you disable ALL your background programs prior to doing the install and i mean ALL ( start/run/msconfig/startup tab uncheck all except for systray and scan registry)

Didn't do anything new.

4) did you update all your drivers regardless of how irrelevant the connection seems?

I just recently did the Microsoft Windows Update thingy, and even it was giving me problems - this is probably just a Windows error. I'll see what I can do. My other drivers are as new as I can think of.

also contact our tech support from our website at WWW.strategyfirst.com

once you do send us the same patch you are having trouble with and will attempt installing it in house

Cheers[/QUOTE]

The patch is okay - it's just something with my machine. I'll head over to the SF site and see if anyone over there can help.

Thanks for the help everyone!

You must have something wrong with your operating system or some kind of Virus or virus software running. I hate to say it but you may need to do a complete wipe of your system and reinstall your operating system.
