Patches won't install

Error message "Hearts of Iron II is not installed on your machine....." never mind that I've been playing it unpatched.
System is winxp, bought at Wal-mart in USA, Published by Paragon

Try and uninstall the game and then install it again. Here is a link to how to uninstall the game manually. Good luck

Published by "Paragon" are you sure you read that right.

Anyway uninstall and try again, if that does not work then check back here for more advice.

Sorry, was paradox, not paragon. (posted from work) Automatic uninstall did not help, but clearing the registry keys and then reinstalling did for some reason. Anyway, patch now installed and playing once again, thanks for the help
