Patching error

Hello. I had Hearts of Iron Doomsday 1.1 STGS for a month, but then I tried to upgrade and the patch says the game isn't installed at all. I also have the Armageddon expansion, but I've been unable to run it due to a milestone error. I upgraded it to 1.2, but I still get the error. Any help?
Edit: I forgot to add my computer's specs, so:
Windows XP, SP2
AMD Athlon 3000+ ~1.8 Ghz
512 MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c
Aand, if graphic/sound cards are needed:
NVIDIA GeForce 6600
Realtek AC97 Audio

So you can't apply patch 1.2, 1.3a, or Armageddon? Was your DD direct from Paradox or does it have another publisher? Have you moved your game to a new folder since installing or, if your game is not on the system drive, reinstalled Windows? Most likely the installers can't find the registry entry for the game or possibly the location the registry points to is not where the game is actually installed.

EDIT: re-reading your post, it looks like you couldn't patch DD but you were able to install ARM and patch it to 1.2 but you can't run it?
Can you post the exact error you're seeing? Have you renamed the avi folder to stop the intro video from playing?

I can't apply ANY patch, meaning I downloaded all of them and those failed at working. (1.06, 1.2, 1.3a). I got HoI2 directly, I didn't move it or reinstall Windows.
Meaning Armageddon, I patched it to 1.2, installed, but can't run due to a milestone error. I renamed the avi folder after reading the FAQ's but didn't work.
Also, I get a "Doomsday is not installed on your computer" even when I reinstalled it. And yes it was on the system drive. On Armageddon I get a Hearts of Iron BETA message that I have to download the newest milestone. If screens are needed, I can supply them.

References to 'milestones' sound like you aren't running a retail copy of the game but a beta.
You certainly won't get 1.06 to work since that is for HoI1 not HoI2 or its expansions.
Are you sure you are using the right patches? Doomsday and HoI2 have the same patch version numbers but they are completely different games. When you installed Armageddon, did you install it over Doomsday, allowing it to overwrite the original files?

The "install latest milestone" means that you don't haven't installed Arma i your dd folder.

First download and install arma in your DD folder, then patch to 1.2.

Thanks, the reinstall to the dd folder helped.
Case closed.
EDIT: I also installed doomsday in another folder and guess what? I can patch it. I dunno how that fixed itself.
