Yesterday november 21st, 2005. A day that will live in infamy.
I screwed HOI2 up with a mod, so i decided to reinstall. I tried uninstalling but the uninstaller were strange and didn't work, "Core-file error" or something. So i decided to remove it manually. The computer freazed. I changed the name of the folder to "scrap" and repaired.
The "scrap" was 1.2 with Europe scenario, and the new game was 1.3a. It worked fine, but then i realized that i didn't want 1.3a just yet (don't ask me why, but it has something to do with a malfunctioning trainer software.). So i did the samething, scrap 2 and repair. But afterward the new install was done, i removed the 2 scrap folders and saved a hearts of iron 2 repaired copy. But now i can't install 1.2. The installer says that i already have a higher patch than 1.2.
Where is the root of this madness? Should i venture into the Registry desert or maybe the Terra Incognito that is my system32?
EDIT: I removed my fresh repair copy and found this error when repairing. It's crashing while Uninstalling: Core Components.
