I wonder if it'd be possible for the hybrid religions, for instance Solar-Christian, to favor a particular tradition? Ex, a Solar-Christian lord could favor the Solar elements, moving him closer in his bonuses to basic Solar-Imperial...just a thought.

It could be a possibility, and the bonuses and pros of each "inclination" would be obvious. The problem is that this is already done with the religious layout itself, which tells you if they're Christian, or Solar, or something, and then which other religion has ascendant or inclination over it.

But it's an interesting way out for the relative mess of "How Christian is Solar-Christian!?"

On the subject of the Schools (I'm talking about the entities themselves, not the religious branches here), at the moment, the only one that is will be receiving attention is the Athens one, since, well, it's the Neoplatonist "religious head" (whatever that may mean for a Neoplatonist anyway...). Having 4 systems for four separate schools could be... problematic, code-wise. But yeah, something cool can be done adapting the Citadel system from AGOT. Maybe even a decision for high learning rulers to invite over to your court a Philosopher from the Academy, independently if you're Neoplatonist or not (just imagine this one erudite from Greece discussing the meaning of life with a Norwegian cultist of Fenrir...)

Yeah... that's what SELIN is for, I mean... it could be done, but there are far too many syncretic religions in LI and the amount of work would be too much.

Doesn't need to be four, but I do feel that the two main schools are important.

You could also "invide a prominent philosopher" and fund him the creation of a small school, with bonuses to tech and learning, as well as special events popping out every once in a while. Including the decision of what to do with the school once another faith takes over. Do you go Julian or do you go Justinian?
