I'm glad that I inspire you, but what have that poor crusader flag in the upper left done to you, since it deserves such an ill-treatment? :p

That's because it will look better with the frame. :)

And I like it a whole lot better than the HRE/Lombardian one already in use in CK...

Yeah, and the HRE/Lombardian was first used in 1395 so it's not really the best option.... :)

If you can please do otherwise I'll gladly make it for ya. :)
 
Just randomly at Hive - I think that avatar is based on a flag and shield request I made a while ago, cos it's the only KoI I've seen with a gold cross, rather than a red one.

That may very well be... so you made the souce? Well done. :)

I hope that doesn't mean that it's fantasy, though... :D

I'm just happy that its getting some use - looks good on you ;)

[EDIT]:Oh, and yes, it is fantasy, but its plausible fantasy - the gold cross was, according to FotW, the emblem of the Italian crusaders. The only source I could find for the red cross was English crusaders and Genovese, and I wanted a less biased KoI flag.

And like you say: it does make sense...

But why use gold instead of yellow? Not that I mind, it looks great...
 
Ah, mostly because it was the colour in the source of the Imperial Eagle, and I couldn't be screwed getting fiddly changing the colour behind the Eagle - I didn't want a different colour in the cross. And, also, in the heraldic stuff it just refers to gold, not a specific shade, so I ran with it ;)
