Pc crash ?!

Hello.I was playing Ck2 as count of vermandois until my pc crashed!First the game stopped,then the screen took a weird colour and then it put me to choose either safe mode or normal mode.I use windows 7 64x and this is the first time it does it.Please help me i fixed my pc but don't want it to happen again

Reads like overheating.

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU) 1/ before starting the game up and 2/ after say 20 minutes' play. If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, Google for and install SPEEDFAN.

Yeah, overheating would be favourite. Basically, if you get a hard crash like that (not just a crash to desktop) then there is some sort of problem either with your hardware, your windows installation, or a device driver.
