As you increase your player base you may find out that some players do not have enough with the wiki, the ingame tooltips or the tutorials to learn to love your games (and their continous expansions).

For this reason, I think it would be a great idea to rent some spaces in cities around the world to make live games sessions to solve questions and share tricks and tips with your users.

People going to your venues will be able to buy PDX merchandise and know about other games from PDX.

Hoping you open your next PDX store nearby soon!

I can, wholeheartedly, guarantee you that this will never happen ;). As awesome as it would be to have our own version of Apple stores where people would come in, game, buy a product or two, it's simply never going to happen :D!

The idea is sound, but the execution of said idea is too ambitious (and permanent).

Make it an Event, limited time engagement.

Paradox "On Tour" - bring the rock band (behind some of the Soundtracks).

Why not? 3-song set. Paradox Dev's for short presentations and Q&A.

Johan gives some high-fives and tries crowd surfing...

Ok, even that's unrealistic, but at least a 1-2 day event in MAJOR cities could work.

That was PDXCON before COVID. They may resume when possible.

However, one event is mostly targeted to convinced players that already know the games. A permanent venue will catch the eye of many people that do not know PDX games and pick their curiosity.

The teaching function has to be interactive, and reaching users through internet is not interactive, unless there were twitch live sessions with players being able to ask questions to the teacher. But twitch and the streamer get all the marketing attention of viewers, it is more difficult for product placement and discovery.

The apple analogy is not bad, how do you make a complex product be known and loved by the masses?

EDIT: another example is Games Workshop.
