Hi,
Just a little thing that annoys me : when signing peace, you can't declare war before a period of 5 years elapses without facing - 5 stab hit, even if you've a CB, even a permanent one...
I understand the logic, even if in some cases it's not much realistic - for example Russian boyards should normally be happy to strike Khans at every opportunity :) .. but well.

So it's an important issue to keep track of "peace treaty effects" , and my problem is just that I can't find anywhere the info about the peace effect duration...So I have to "test" a Declare War and have the info on the stab hit in the confirmation window, not very practical ...

I searched in the Archives to no avail, did I miss stg ?

Actually the info is available, you just have to know how to access it, and you have to set it up yourself.

When peace is declared, double click on the pen on your desktop. Open notepad and copy the date. (Alt + C won't work here - sorry).

Whenever you're in doubt just open the notepad. The info will be readily available.

Best of luck,

EoE

Err .... I guess he actually was looking for the information IN the game.
Otherwise you could also make the information available by writing it down with a (real) pen on a (real) piece of paper.
But are we doing a P&P RPG or is this a computer game? :D

Thanks Emperor for your convenient workaround :D
And Cadorna, yes, I was asking for an in-game method.
And in fact I found a third method : just memorize and remember the dates :p :p
No paper, ink, not even a file...perfect !

PDF, you're just a genius!
(still, if there is a method to access the info in the game, I'd like to know it. My memory sometimes looses me....)

I haven't been able to find one. However, fortunately the game warns you about the extra stability bonus for DoWs while a peace treaty is in effect, so you have a chance to take it back.

Yes, I do find myself scribbling all sorts of notes on paper while playing. My wife thinks I'm on the verge of
insanity. "What do you mean by 'Hansa alliance w/ France exp. July 1608'? Or 'No war on P-L until April
1599' or 'rm w/ Brandenburg exp. Dec. 1633'?"

Thanks Cadorna for recognizing my real valor :D
(mm, in fact I have signed 1 peace treaty in my game, so remembering isn't that hard :p )

I can now confirm there is NO in game info, in fact the feature is on the 1.09 wishlist, among numerous other that surely are more important...
So I'll have to go for pen/paper or Notepad or just brain cells .. ;)

Mayby it would help to buy some more memory then ;)

Anyway, there is a dipscreen peace treaty graphics in the game, but for some reason it was never implemented in the game. The only way to know now from ingame is to make a test DOW and check if that -5 stab is in affect or not.
Shure is on the "would be nice have list".

As France, each time after the end of peace treaty I usually declare war to Spain :) But when a warning tell me that I will lose stability (-6 ) I know the peace treaty is not ended.
