This looks like a great game, but I can say with all honesty Dwarf Fortress's... "graphics" are more appealing than this big nosed red bearded claymation crap. Is there going to be a way to mod the graphics to atleast get rid of the giant dwarf noses, or are we stuck with those unless we know how to model.

One more question. Will there be different faces for dwarves? Or will all the workers of carpentry have this face and masons another?

That is the thing about graphics and graphic style, they are so subjective. For you, the "graphics" (if that term can really be used in DF) are more appealing, where as one of the top 5 complaints from people about DF is the graphics and the GUI(or lack there of). Personally I really like the graphics style that they've chosen for this game, it conveys that the game is not going to be anywhere as serious as DF takes itself to be and I believe will make more players that take a quick look at the game either in screen shots or videos believe that it will be much more approachable than DF which is a great game but mostly too deep, or complex (or I can't think of the correct word) for the average gamer. Many of my friends that have been gaming since the days when "video" games were distributed on cassette tapes (way back in the late 70's or early 80's) complain mostly of the lack of graphics style and gui in DF.

Personally, I love the style look of this game and hope it will not be changed. It could use some refinement here and there but the overall style is fun and whimsical in my opinion. I also dare to guess that they will not be changing much, as it looks like they've chosen the style for this gem and usually they don't change the whole style just refine things in it.

I keep trying to come up with a new way of how I would imagine a Dwarf looking in this type of a game. I keep coming up with the same picture in my head.

And that is this. . . . . .

Cute graphics are a plus for me as well. I get all Japanese schoolgirl about it.

Kawaii!!
Plus Simon would violently murder the entire development team if they changed the artistic style. :3

I think the stylized graphics will help keep resource usage down so those that don't have such a stong pc to have 100 dwarves (I have no idea) doing their own thing won't cause people to run here complaining about performance issues.

Loving that idea..... because I'm one of those with a graphically challenged laptop
