Perpetual "Waiting for Server ID"

I'm trying to host a multiplayer game of CKII, yet for some reason I keep getting the above issue. Did a full restart of my computer, cleared out all files on disc and reinstalled, it's allowed through the firewall, and have my paradox account signed into the game. Any ideas as to what the issue could be?

Edit: If useful, other games do show up when I hit refresh internet on the multiplayer lobby.

Try deleting your Documents/paradox/ck2/gfx/ folder, and let the game recreate it.

Did that when I cleared all files on disc before the reinstall.

Actually I'm seeing reports like this for a few games now. It seems that Steam is having login problems at least, maybe server problems too:

Given it seems to have cleared up without any new action on my computer to the game from when I last tested it, unless you wound up doing something on your end, them having fixed the outage in my area may just be it.
